Molly's new coat #2...

...so it is the third day of us having the coat in our house. It is the third day that Molly has asked to wear the coat. She cried the first night because Kyle would not let her wear it to bed, and she "said that Mommy said I could wear it to bed" (which I did not say!). Yesterday, Kyle got her dressed in a cute dress with tights, and she accessorized with the coat. Today, she came to me with this idea...she wanted to wear a short sleeved dress so that she could feel the sweater on her arms to which I smiled and said yes! I had to give a little laugh to her creativity as well. We are very grateful for this new addition to her wardrobe.

Molly's new coat...

My pictures are great...but I just had to post Molly's new garment! My mom knit this wonderful and beautiful "coat" for Molly, and we picked it up from the post office this afternoon. She is in love with it, and has not taken it off yet. The buttons are her favorite part. I, personally, love the hood. I told her while we were out and about that I wanted Grammy to make me one. She thought that sounded like a good idea!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you, Grammy, for the wonderful new piece of clothing!

Molly, before & after...

Molly had decided to grow her hair out along with her bangs. The first picture shows how far we got. A couple of months ago, she asked if she could get her hair cut. I said no! I told her she should finish what she started - I thought this would be a good lesson in perseverance!! She was okay with it and moved on. Well last week she asked again, and I thought about it a little longer. I told her we could go at the end of the week if she still really thought she wanted to cut it all off. Well Friday came, and she was so very excited about going so I thought she was ready. I did try and tell her that if she wanted she could still go with no bangs and have it short, but she wanted it all back the way she used to wear it. She told me that she was tired of having to wear clips and rubber bands. She was tired of her bangs getting in her face when she was doing her "homework!" I thought it was too cute. I am glad that the old Molly is back. I LOVE her cute little pixie cut with bangs!!

What do you all think??

"Hey Mommy, do you know what?"...

I have heard this phrase A LOT over the last few years. When Jack was younger, he did like to ask questions. He did not really ask the typical "why" but would ask me..."hey mommy, do you know what?" It got to be so bad that I would respond with..."I know a lot of whats, but I don't know if I am going to know your what!" That was my typical response. Well, they still like to preface a statement with that phrase and the last couple of days I have caught myself once again saying the above phrase. It brings a smile to my kids face whenever I see it, and they get a little taste of what they do to me by asking so many wonderful creative questions. So I will leave you with this in your brain...

"I know a lot of whats, but I don't know if I am going to know your what!"
