Ahh, the joy of megabloks...

For the last two days, the kids have been self entertained building stuff. Jack has built multiple variations of a landing pad for his star wars ship. He has built many trucks, cars, cranes, guns, and such to keep him playing with Molly and himself. Molly has also built many things. She got out the kinex and made two hands and two feet just like hers - now there was no body of anykind, but she made the appendages! She also has made her own guns.

I love the discovery of old toys that feel like new! Here's to enjoying your own new old toys that you might find in your closet tonight!

Our own American Idol...

Picture a little Molly bear standing at the ottoman with a random book opened singing at the top of her lungs about how "God is so good to us..."

Well that is what happened this morning as I was busy cleaning the house, Kyle was outside tending to some wood for the stove, and she had to entertain herself. It was so cute. The only thing that could have made it better was if we had a video of it, but alas you will have to use your imagination!

For you, Pops...

I bribed the kids with t.v. and a brownie to get the pictures on top. I know, they should just want to do what mom ask of them, but alas I knew the bribe would work much better!

A new era...

This weekend we started on a new journey with Molly. A friend of ours had told Molly that if she stopped biting her nails she would buy her some nail polish - that really motivated Molly unlike my trying to show her how bad it looked! Well, goal accomplished. Shana brought the nail polish over on Friday, and Molly was hot to trot to get it on her nails AND her toenails. Shana made sure that I was okay with the color, which I was of course. So...if you look REALLY hard and squint your eyes you can see a little bit of light pink and a little bit of shimmer from the glitter on her hands and toes. She went to church and wanted to show everyone. It is so cute to see how the girl in your girl start to show itself more and more with everyday. Of course, there is still a bit of tomboy in her too!

Reading buddies...

I went out to get wood the other morning for the stove, and came back to view this. They were snuggled up on the couch looking at an "I spy" Princess book! Jack is a good sport about the things Molly likes!!
